چکیده
This paper deals with the finite element analysis and experimental study concerning the influence of the broken bar and rotor dynamic eccentricity faults on the magnetic field outside a squirrel-cage induction motor. The spatial distribution of the magnetic field, the time variation of the magnetic flux density at a point outside the machine and the time variation of the electromotive force delivered by a coil sensor are evaluated based on the finite element models of the healthy and faulty states of the motor. The increase of amplitude from the healthy to the faulty states of some low frequency harmonics measured in the near-magnetic field is emphasized. For broken bar fault, the increase of the amplitudes of specific harmonics of the coil sensor electromotive force, with frequency lower than 25Hz, is experimentally confirmed.

Finite Element Diagnosis of Squirrel Cage Induction Motors with Rotor Bar Faults
This paper deals with the finite element analysis of a specific fault of the squirrel cage induction motors consisting in rotor bars breaking. Several variants of rotor bar faults are studied, using both quasi-static and transient magnetic field analyses. The numerical results in the reference case of healthy motor are experimentally validated by laboratory measurements.

Nowadays study of input voltage quality on induction motors behavior has become a controversial subject due to the wide application of these motors in the industry. The impact of grid voltage fluctuations on the performance of induction motors can be included in this area. The majority of papers devoted to the influence of voltage fluctuations on the induction motors are focusing only on the so...
متن کاملMagnetic Saturation Impacts on Fault Analysis of Squirrel-cage Six Phases Induction Motors using Winding Function Approach
Multiple coupled circuit modeling (MCCM) of squirrel-cage induction motors (SCIMs), or winding function approach is the most detailed and complete analytical model used to analyze the performance of faulty SCIMs. Already, in variate papers this approach was used to 3phases SCIMs, but this paper extends the above-mentioned model to 6phases SCIMs. Various simulations of variative faults are carri...

متن کاملA New Doubly Segmented Structure for Switched Reluctance Motors with High Torque Capability
In this paper, a new magnetic structure for switched reluctance motors is presented. In this structure, both stator and rotor has a segmented topology and there is no magnetic flux path between two stator/rotor segments or any possible combination of them. The proposed segmental structure may be considered with different number of phases as well as different number of segments per phase for any...
